1. After the axial flow fan is installed and before startup, check the flexibility of the fan's rotation by manually turning the blades to ensure there is no binding or friction. Inspect the fan and adjacent ductwork for any leftover items or foreign debris.
2. Verify that the dampers within the ductwork are in the open position.
3. Ensure personnel remain clear of the fan.
4. Start the fan and verify that the blade rotation direction matches the rotation indicator. After confirming correct operation, run the fan for a trial period of 10–30 minutes before shutting it down to inspect for loose blades or loose mounting bolts connecting the vibration-damping base to the foundation. Only after confirming that everything is normal should the fan be officially started and put into service.
