Tunnel ventilation fans are specifically designed for supply and exhaust ventilation systems utilizing vertical or inclined shafts in extra-long tunnels. They are widely used in longitudinal ventilation configurations-including centralized supply, centralized exhaust, and combined supply-exhaust modes-as well as in semi-transverse, full-transverse, and auxiliary tunnel ventilation systems. To meet specific airflow and pressure requirements, the fans can be configured by selecting appropriate impeller diameters or adjusting blade pitch angles.

During tunnel construction, activities such as drilling, blasting, muck loading, shotcreting, and the operation of internal combustion engines and transport vehicles deplete oxygen levels. Furthermore, excavation releases various harmful gases and rock dust from the geological strata, rendering the air in the confined tunnel space highly polluted and posing a serious threat to human health. Consequently, it is essential to supply fresh air, remove harmful gases, and reduce dust concentrations; the most effective and common method for achieving this is the use of various fans and ducting systems for ventilation and dust extraction.
