Product Overview

The Small Boiler Centrifugal Induced Draft Fan is a centrifugal fan designed for flue gas extraction and induced draft applications in small and medium-sized industrial boiler systems.

Installed downstream of the boiler flue gas system, the fan extracts combustion flue gas and transports it through dust collection, desulfurization, denitrification, or chimney systems. By maintaining the required negative pressure inside the furnace, the Y6-30 ID fan helps support stable boiler combustion and reliable flue gas discharge.

EMS provides Y6-30 boiler induced draft fans with customized airflow, pressure, motor power, materials, drive arrangements, and temperature configurations according to actual boiler operating conditions.

The above figures are typical engineering reference ranges rather than fixed specifications for every Y6-30 model. Final airflow, pressure, speed, motor power, temperature rating, and material selection should be determined according to the actual boiler and flue gas system.

Working Principle

The Y6-30 uses a centrifugal impeller to extract and transport boiler flue gas.

Flue gas enters the fan inlet and is accelerated by the rotating impeller. Centrifugal force directs the gas radially outward into the fan casing, where part of the velocity energy is converted into pressure before the gas is discharged through the outlet.

A typical system arrangement is:

Boiler → Dust Collector → Desulfurization / Denitrification → Y6-30 ID Fan → Chimney

The induced draft fan continuously extracts flue gas and helps maintain the required furnace pressure for stable combustion.

Key Features

small boiler induced draft fan

Boiler-Specific Induced Draft Design

The fan is designed for boiler flue gas extraction and continuous induced draft operation.

Stable Centrifugal Performance

The centrifugal configuration provides the pressure capability required to overcome resistance from ducts, dust collectors, flue gas treatment equipment, and chimneys.

Compact Construction

The compact design is suitable for small industrial boiler rooms and installations where space is limited.

Continuous-Duty Operation

The fan can be configured with industrial-grade motors, bearings, and drive systems for continuous boiler operation.

Wear-Resistant Options

For flue gas containing significant dust, wear-resistant impellers and other protective configurations can be provided according to particle concentration, particle size, temperature, and gas conditions.

Compatible with Environmental Systems

The fan can be integrated with dust collectors, scrubbers, desulfurization systems, denitrification systems, and other flue gas treatment equipment.

Typical Installation Locations

Y6-30 boiler ID fans are commonly installed in:

  • Industrial Boiler Rooms
  • Boiler Flue Gas Systems
  • Heating Stations
  • Thermal Energy Plants
  • Steam Generation Facilities
  • Hot Water Boiler Systems
  • Industrial Heating Facilities
  • Dust Collection Systems
  • Flue Gas Treatment Systems

Fan Selection

The correct boiler ID fan should be selected based on the complete flue gas system rather than boiler capacity alone.

Important selection parameters include:

  • Boiler Capacity
  • Required Airflow
  • Required Pressure
  • Flue Gas Temperature
  • Dust Concentration
  • Flue Gas Composition
  • Dust Collector Resistance
  • Desulfurization System Resistance
  • Denitrification System Resistance
  • Duct Length
  • Duct Diameter
  • Fan Installation Location
  • Motor Voltage
  • Frequency
  • Operating Hours
  • Material Requirements

For boiler applications, the resistance of the dust collector, flue gas treatment equipment, ducts, dampers, and chimney should be included when determining the required fan pressure.
