Product Overview
The Boiler Centrifugal Forced Induced Draft Fan is an industrial centrifugal fan designed for boiler ventilation, combustion air supply, flue gas extraction and draft control.
Depending on the system configuration, the GY5-51 can be used as either a Forced Draft (FD) Fan or an Induced Draft (ID) Fan. It is suitable for industrial boilers, steam boilers, biomass boilers, waste heat boilers, heating systems and boiler flue gas treatment systems.
EMS provides customized fan solutions based on airflow, pressure, temperature, dust concentration, system resistance, material requirements and installation conditions.

Working Principle
Forced Draft Application
Ambient Air → GY5-51 FD Fan → Air Duct → Boiler Furnace → Combustion
In FD service, the fan supplies combustion air to the boiler furnace and provides the required airflow and pressure for stable combustion.
Induced Draft Application
Boiler → Dust Collector → Flue Gas Treatment → GY5-51 ID Fan → Chimney
In ID service, the fan extracts flue gas from the boiler system and overcomes the pressure losses of the dust collector, flue gas treatment equipment, ducts and chimney.
Key Features

Forced and Induced Draft Capability
The GY5-51 series can be configured for both FD and ID boiler applications, depending on the system design.
Stable Centrifugal Performance
The centrifugal impeller provides reliable airflow and pressure performance for continuous industrial operation.
Suitable for High-Resistance Systems
The fan can be selected for boiler systems incorporating dust collectors, FGD, DeNOx equipment and long flue-gas ducts.
Multiple Drive Options
Depending on the required speed, power and installation arrangement, EMS can provide:
Direct Drive
Belt Drive
Coupling Drive
Wear-Resistant Configuration
For dusty ID applications, wear-resistant impellers, liners and reinforced structures can be provided according to the dust characteristics.
High-Temperature Configuration
For elevated-temperature flue gas, EMS can configure suitable bearings, cooling arrangements, high-temperature materials and sealing solutions.

Fan Selection Requirements
For accurate GY5-51 selection, customers should provide:
- Boiler Capacity
- Fuel Type
- Required Airflow
- Required Pressure
- Gas Temperature
- Gas Density
- Dust Concentration
- Flue Gas Composition
- Total System Resistance
- Duct Size and Length
- Dust Collector Pressure Loss
- FGD / DeNOx Pressure Loss
- Installation Altitude
- Motor Voltage and Frequency
- Operating Hours
- Material Requirements
- Drive Type
- Noise Requirements
Boiler capacity alone is not sufficient for accurate fan selection. The actual fan duty point should be determined from combustion requirements, flue gas volume and total system resistance.
