Product Overview
The Y5-47 Boiler Centrifugal Induced Draft Fan is an industrial centrifugal ID fan designed for boiler flue gas extraction, furnace negative pressure control and continuous boiler exhaust ventilation.
The fan is typically installed in the downstream flue gas system. It extracts combustion flue gas from the boiler and overcomes the resistance of dust collectors, FGD and DeNOx equipment, ductwork and chimneys.
The Y5-47 is suitable for industrial steam boilers, hot water boilers, biomass boilers, waste heat boilers, district heating systems and industrial thermal energy applications.
EMS provides customized fan configurations according to airflow, pressure, gas temperature, dust concentration, gas composition and installation conditions.

Engineering Note: These are typical reference ranges rather than fixed specifications for every Y5-47 configuration. Final fan selection should be based on the actual duty point and system conditions.
Working Principle
Boiler Furnace → Dust Collector → FGD / DeNOx → Y5-47 ID Fan → Chimney
Flue gas generated by boiler combustion passes through dust collection and flue gas treatment equipment before entering the Y5-47 induced draft fan.
The centrifugal impeller generates negative pressure at the inlet and continuously extracts flue gas from the boiler system. The fan then increases the gas pressure sufficiently to overcome the resistance of downstream equipment, ductwork and the chimney.
Correct ID fan selection helps maintain stable furnace negative pressure and reliable boiler operation.
Key Features

Dedicated Boiler ID Application
Designed specifically for boiler flue gas extraction and negative pressure control under continuous industrial operating conditions.
Stable Centrifugal Performance
The centrifugal impeller provides reliable airflow and pressure for boiler exhaust systems.
Environmental System Compatibility
The fan can be selected according to the pressure losses of dust collectors, FGD, DeNOx and other flue gas treatment equipment.
Wear-Resistant Configuration
Wear-resistant impellers, liners and reinforced structures are available for dusty flue gas applications.
High-Temperature Configuration
For high-temperature flue gas, EMS can provide suitable bearings, cooling arrangements, high-temperature materials and sealing solutions.
Multiple Drive Options
Available configurations include:
Direct Drive
Belt Drive
Coupling Drive
VFD-Compatible
Variable frequency drive systems can be configured to adjust airflow and pressure according to boiler load.

Typical Installation Locations

Selection Requirements
For accurate Y5-47 selection, customers should provide:
- Boiler Capacity
- Fuel Type
- Required Flue Gas Flow
- Required Pressure
- Gas Temperature
- Gas Density
- Dust Concentration
- Flue Gas Composition
- Total System Resistance
- Dust Collector Pressure Loss
- FGD / DeNOx Pressure Loss
- Duct Size and Length
- Installation Altitude
- Motor Voltage / Frequency
- Operating Hours
- Material Requirements
- Drive Type
- Noise Requirements
Boiler capacity alone is not sufficient for fan selection. The actual duty point should be calculated from the flue gas volume and total resistance of the complete boiler exhaust system.
